On Nov. 14, city leaders, dignitaries, family members and friends attended a celebration of Rev. Dr. Aaron Willford Jr.’ 35 years of spiritual leadership and service. The four-hour, black-and- white formal affair was hosted at the Heritage Hills Hotel and Resort. Reverend Willford, of Bethlehem Baptist Church was celebrated for a career spanning more than three decades. Those in attendance experienced an evening of elegance, exquisite dinning and fun.
The night included a musical performance ranging from gospel and jazz to R&B, featuring the band “Off the Cuff”. Mistress of ceremony Dr. Diane Hobson spoke with poise and made sure the program ran smoothly. Keynote speaker Gov. Tom Wolf honored Willford for his leadership and success in pastoral-ship. In addition, First Lady Jean Willford was honored with a pink ribbon cake and love presentation, in celebration of her life as a survivor. Rev. Aaron Willford has committed his life to empowering others that they might have a fulfilled life in Jesus Christ. The event was an opportunity to salute him for all the lives he’s touched. It was a blessing to honor him for 35 years of service.
